All MediaSilo QuickLinks and QuickSites use a shortened URL to make it easier to share (qlnk.io or quicksite.io) that redirects to the full URL (ql.mediasilo.com or qs.mediasilo.com). On Friday, July 24th this short URL redirect was broken, and this temporarily remains the case. Any users who access qlnk.io or quicksite.io will not be able to load their links properly.
Our engineers are working to resolve this urgently. As of 4:39pm PT on Friday, July 24th, we set MediaSilo to automatically replace the shortened URL everywhere that it appears with the full URL (ql.mediasilo.com or qs.mediasilo.com) so that users can share and view QuickLinks and QuickSites as normal.
For any situations where shortened URLs (qlnk.io or quicksite.io) were shared prior to 4:39pm PT last Friday, if you need to ensure access to any such links prior to our resolving the issue, which we expect should be within the next 24 hours, you can take any of the three steps below to ensure that the link will load:
- Resending any previously sent link by selecting “Edit” from the lefthand side QuickLink History, reentering the recipients, and clicking “Send”. This will trigger a new email from MediaSilo with the full URL.
- Searching for the original QuickLink in the QuickLink History on the lefthand side of the application, hit “Edit,” and copy the full URL.
- Anywhere that a QuickLink/QuickSite URL has been posted (e.g. in an email), you can copy that URL and modify the link as follows:
change qlnk.io/ql/123456789 to ql.mediasilo.com/ql/123456789. The same goes for QuickSite URL's - please replace http://quicksite.io/ with http://qs.mediasilo.com/.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Please reach out to support@mediasilo.com for further assistance. We will follow up with a second in-app message confirming resolution.
